Guidelines Guidelines of Teaching and Learning Development Based on Principles of The Four Noble Truths in Primary Schools under Office of Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area 2

Abstract

The objectives of this research were; 10 to study the state of teaching and learning management in primary schools under Office of Saraburi Primary  Educational Service Area  2, 2) to study a guideline of teaching and learning management development in primary schools and the practice based on the Four Noble Truths, and 3) to propose a guideline of teaching and learning development based on principles of The Four Noble Truths in primary schools under Office of Saraburi Primary  Educational Service Area  2. The quantitative data were collected by questionnaires from 302 teachers under Office of Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area 2 and then analyzed by percentage, mean and standard deviation. The qualitative data were collected by in-depth interviews with 3 key-informants and analyzed by content analysis.

The results of the study found that:

1. The state of teaching and learning management in primary schools under Office of Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area  2 in 4 aspects was at a high level overall. The problems were found on; 1) Teaching Plan, teaching techniques and methods to facilitate students in learning; 2) Teaching and Learning Activity, students had participation in teaching and learning process; 3) Instructional Media, students learn through work based learning; and 4) Measurement and Evaluation, assessment on quality, skills and knowledge of each student for development of teaching and learning.              

2. The guidelines of teaching and learning development based on principles of The Four Noble Truths in primary schools under Office of Saraburi Primary  Educational Service Area  2 were as follows; 1) Teaching Plan, administrators, teachers, school board, and school personnel should have meetings for setting teaching and learning plans, 2) Teaching and Learning Activity, administrators, teachers and students should decode the principles of Sufficiency Economy in every subject, 3) Instructional Media, administrators should encourage and support teachers and students to produce teaching and learning media, and 4) Measurement and Evaluation, administrators, teachers, and school personnel should create individual evaluation form based on course indicators.
